The Naja, or crescent symbol, was used as a talisman for protection. The Moors created ornaments with this symbol to adorn their horses bridles to ward off evil eye. This gorgeous handmade Ingot silver Naja pendant features a large turquoise stone and hangs elegantly on a necklace of blue Padre trade beads. Padre beads are glass beads whose origin is traced back to ancient China. In the late 18th century, these beads spread into the Southwest following the movement of Spanish traders. The necklace is 15-16 inches in length, and the naja pendant is 2.5 inches wide.
